1st day of school

Graham (4K) and Miller Kate (2K) started back to school a couple weeks ago.  They are doing great.  We started a new school this summer so this is their first "school year" at our new school and we are loving it.  Their teachers are precious!  We are so excited to watch them grow and learn so much this year.  It is so bittersweet watching them grow, but ultimately such a HUGE blessing!
Some pictures from their first day.

Sawyer's school started later this year so he's only been going for a week.  His teacher is the sweetest! And he's especially excited because Henley is in his class.  Hard to believe he's in 1st grade but I know he's going to have an awesome year!

Praying for a great year for these kiddos.  We pray every morning together before school and we basically pray the same basic prayer every morning.  We thank God for each other, we pray for good health and protection, we ask God to help us make good choices, be leaders and be kind and brave.  And we thank God for Jesus.  Then we hug, kiss, say our I love you's and everyone is off to their day.  Mornings are a little crazy around here but it's important to me that we do this every morning!

Collins {2 months}

Collins,

You are officially 2 months old.  You are becoming more content but are still a touch high maintenance.  You just like to be close to mama.  I wear you at least once a day and you love to be snuggled up on my chest in the wrap.  I may wear you until I can't physically hold you. ;)

You nurse every 3-4 hours.  You weigh 11 lbs and are 22 inches long.  A good bit smaller than your brothers and sister were at 2 months.  A little peanut but healthy and we are so thankful.  You are wearing 3 months in clothes and size 1 in diapers, although we'll be moving into size 2 pretty soon.

You are starting to sleep so good.  I usually put you down between 9-10 and you'll go 6 hours (even 7 a few times) before you wake up to eat.  Amazing!! Then you eat and fall back asleep pretty quick.  But some nights I hold you for a while before laying you back down.  I'm exhausted but just can't help myself.

You usually stay awake for an hour or so after you eat then are ready to nap.  You nap best in my arms or on your belly.  You aren't crazy about the swing.  You are really starting to like your paci.  You LOVE your mama and give Daddy lots of smiles!  And your siblings are able to keep you entertained.  I imagine you look at them and think you are in a circus.  But they sure love you!!  You'll understand soon enough! ;)

You are flashing us more and more of your gummy smiles and there is nothing better!  You are starting to coo some too and it's precious.

We thank God for you every single day.  Such a honor to be your mommy!

some end of summer fun

We are slowly, but surely, checking off the last few things on our summer list.  Squeezing every last drop out of summer.  Some pictures of our water balloon fight and riding go-carts.

Graham's LEGO Party

Graham loves Lego's and decided he wanted to have a Lego party.  It was so fun to plan for and I had the best helpers with all the decorations.  He had the best time at his party with family and friends.

We LOVED celebrating our Lego loving 5 year old!!

Graham turns 5

Hard to believe my baby boy is 5!  5 seems like a turning point to me, like when they really become little boys and have basically lost all things baby.  Lucky for me, Graham promises to always be my baby! ;)

He was super excited about his birthday.  It just takes him a little bit to wake up!! ;)  He got woken up to the usual balloons and singing.

We headed to Chick fil A for lunch and to play.

And he chose Fox's pizza for dinner.  It was such a fun night.  Graham won something in the claw machine (his favorite) and Sawyer hit the jackpot on the ball drop (his favorite).  We played games, ate pizza and cake and opened presents.  Graham said he had the best time ever!

This makes me so happy!  It still seems surreal that I have 4 kids.  Gosh, what a blessing.  They are so lucky to have each other.  We all are.  And I love that it feels like a party even when it's just us!  Ha!

Happy Birthday buddy!  We are so thankful for you and love you more than you can imagine!
Here's to many, many, many more birthdays celebrating you!!
