{please notice Coopie through the door - precious}
So, yesterday I was 20 weeks. Can't believe I'm halfway there. It's seems time is dragging by and flying by at the same time. I know that doesn't make sense but I feel like it's dragging when it comes to actually meeting my little boy. I can't wait. But I feel like it's flying by when I think of all we have left to do. Which at this point is pretty much everything. We are slowly getting ourselves in gear to start checking things off the long to do list!
I saw this little survey below on another blog (I can't remember where or I would totally give credit) and thought it was a cute idea so I'm going to be using it every week. It will be neat to have it to look back at one day. But I just want to preface and say that I know being pregnant and having a baby is such a blessing. And trust me it is not one I'm taking for granted. I thank the Lord everyday for this miracle. And while I know so far I've had it totally made with my pregnancy I'm still learning that it's not always roses and this is my blog so I'm going to be honest! Hope it doesn't offend anyone!

How far along? 20 weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: far 12 lbs. (I can't promise I'll continue to be this honest in the future!)
Stretch marks? None...yet.
Sleep: I'm a stomach sleeper so I'm trying to adjust to sleeping on my sides - my arms keep falling asleep.
Best moment this week: Went to the Dr. yesterday and heard little guys heartbeat!
Movement: I've just recently started feeling a few flutters.
Food cravings: None really...just hungry!
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: thankfully none
Belly Button in or out? In
What I miss: Sleeping through the night without having to get up and pee (twice).
What I am looking forward to: Picking out his bedding
Weekly Wisdom: One thing at time. Pregnancy last for 40 weeks for a reason!
Milestones: the halfway point

Fun at the Fair!

Keith and I went to the fair on Saturday! I can't remember the last time I went to the fair. It was fun. Really fun.

Bass Pro Shop had a huge tank of fish out there. They were even having catfish races!
Delicious fair food! I seriously could have eaten 1 of everything...if I could have afforded it!

I love a mechanical bull.
Lots of rides and games. This was the only ride my speed! But I didn't ride anything because:
A - I'm pregnant
B - I was too busy spending my money on food!
Keith played this game! He got 3 darts to throw and busted a balloon with all 3 throws. He's good like that!
In action...
And won a prize for Coopie!Lots of rides that spin you around and around. Reminds me of one time when my Dad took us to the fair. Let's just say he doesn't do well with rides that spin!

This is my favorite picture I got! Love it!

We both played this game -- but we didn't win!
Coop playing with his new toy. He's already managed to chew both of the eyes off and pull out most of the stuffing!
Good times...

Back to normal...

I had to come home last night because I had to work today! I didn't want to leave my sister and sweet, sweet nieces! They are so precious and I'm so glad I got to spend the last few days with them. I told Keith this morning how much I already miss them and he sweetly reminded me that I'll have my very own baby in no time at all. I can't wait!
But in the mean time a few pictures I took with my phone over the last 2 days.
Big sis loving on lil sis! Harper loves her baby sister so much and she has been so good with her. Always wanting to hold her and kiss her and rub her!

This is Henley all dolled up and ready to go home! I know I'm biased but doesn't she look like a baby doll!! She really is a beautiful baby! And so good too! My mom did such a great job on her dress and bonnet - so pretty! Almost as pretty as the little model herself.
Just want to give you guys a heads up -- I took around 300 pictures over the last couple of days. No, I don't plan to show you all of them but there will be many more coming.
Hope you all have a great weekend! I'm so glad it's Friday!

Rained In

It is still raining here. It has been all week and is supposed to rain all weekend! But we don't have much planned so I don't really mind. Perfect weather for staying home and taking it easy.

Should've been a Cowboy!

Last night we went to the Toby Keith and Trace Atkins concert. I bought my Dad tickets for his birthday back in July. He concert was originally planned for July 30th but got postponed because we had tornado's hit that night. Well, last night was the make up show and it was so fun!

A shot of the stage before the concert started. The weather was terrible yesterday too. We thought it might get rained out again. But the rain stopped about 4:00pm and it actually didn't rain again all night. We got really lucky!

Trace Atkins. He is huge - seriously he towered over his band.
Toby coming out.
He was so good! And so cute too!

Getting a little crowd participation!
Happy Birthday Dad!
It was a great night!

Drumroll please....

I know most of you already know but Baby J is a HE!

I know the picture is small but it's the best I can do. It is his sweet profile and a shot between his little legs! Right now he only weighs 9 ounces which is so tiny but it was amazing all we could see. We could see all his body parts ~ hands, feet, heart, kidneys, stomach, etc. It was amazing. Everything looks great and he is healthy as can be! He was moving like crazy!! He was grabbing his feet and even sucking his thumb! I could have laid on that table forever watching. It was so amazing!

I thought I would get to video it but they don't do that at my Dr. - a little disappointing but I have the moment captured in my head and it is one I will never forget! As soon as she said boy Keith grabbed me and we looked at each other and we couldn't quit smiling. It was such an awesome experience!

I did get the girl to take a picture of Keith and I but I forgot to bring the camera with me. I'll post it later.

Thanks to everyone who called and left sweet messages/comments. It really meant so much!

Big Day

Today is a big day! It's one of those days that changes your life a little. Today we find out if we are having a son or a daughter. Of course we both have some thoughts on what we think or want (it's only human nature), but neither of those are worth mentioning here because as soon as we know one way or the other whatever we thought or wanted will quickly be forgotten. And as the cliche goes a healthy baby is really the only thing that matters. I know everyone says this but I promise once you are carrying a little miracle you certainly realize how true this is. And I know that whatever the Lord blesses us with will be just that - a blessing.

Let's just hope baby J is willing to give us a nice clear shot!

Monday Monday

Right now, the only thing getting me through this rainy Monday is knowing that 2 of my guiltiest pleasures start back tonight. The season premiere of One Tree Hill and Gossip Girl! And knowing that I'm getting closer to tomorrow and tomorrow is a big day!
We had a really great weekend. It was low key but we got lots of little stuff around the house accomplished. It just went by too fast - same ole story, right!!

A day to remember

I can't believe it's been 8 years since the 9/11 tragedies! I remember exactly where I was when my Mom called and told me to turn on the TV. I was a freshman at Auburn still asleep in bed. I remember just staying glued to the TV all day and not believing what I was seeing.
May we never forget that day and all the men and women who lost their lives that day. Say a special prayer for their families today as well as the men and women who continue to fight for our country! I'm proud to be an American!
On a different note, this little guys is feeling much better! Back to his old self. I think he was just so exhausted from last weekend that it took him a couple of days to catch back up. He's like his mom and dad in that way!
Also like his mom and dad, he is looking forward to just relaxing at home this weekend. That is if his Aunt Shannon doesn't go into labor...we'll see. It could be any day now!
We don't have much planned for the weekend. Besides watching lots of football. Especially our Auburn Tigers Saturday night!

Hope you all have a great weekend! War Eagle!
