I went back to the Dr. last week and all was great! He is still measuring a week ahead - he has been for a while so she said my new due date is around Feb. 10th. So, he should be making his grand arrival somewhere close to there! I go back on the 4th and then I'll start going every week!

We have our child birthing class tonight from 6-10. Should be interesting! I'm actually looking forward to it -- mostly the tour of the hospital since I've never been to the one here! We also close on our new house this afternoon so busy day!

I still have lots of pics that I want post from the holidays. It may take me a few days as I took about 437859 pictures and the next couple of weeks days are insanely busy!

Christmas Vacation.

I'll be spending the next couple of days soaking up every minute I can with my loved ones and making precious memories! I hope you all do the same!

As much as I'm living in the moment and loving every second, I can't help but look forward to next year knowing we will have our little baby boy to share this wonderful time of year with.

God is Good!

And may we all remember the reason for the season and know that we have already been given the greatest gift of all!

Be back soon.

Beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

We had the best weekend. We did lots of shopping, wrapping, and looking at Christmas lights. We finished all of our shopping and got everything wrapped. We had a nice dinner Saturday night and then went and looked at lights at a church here, Rhema. I have to give my brother in law, Blake, props for finding out about this place. He was in Tulsa a couple of weeks ago working and some people told him that he had to go check out the light display at this church. So, we all went together that night and agreed it was AWESOME but unfortunately didn't have a camera. So, I drug Keith back out there Saturday night so I could take some pictures! I got some good ones! It was cold and festive and I loved it!

Aren't they awesome? I love the ones by the pond with the lights reflecting off of the water! We also went to the movies and saw The Blind Side yesterday. It was awesome! Loved it!

Now, only 2 days of work and then headed home for Christmas!

2009 Christmas Card

They've been mailed out so I thought I would share our Christmas card for this year.
I wanted to do something a little creative and I think these turned out super cute. I tried to convince Keith to wear a full on Santa suit but this is all I could get him to agree to!
A picture of the card was the best I could do -- I couldn't get the scanner at work to work...
Have I mentioned that I LOVE Christmas cards. Seriously, they make me so happy! Keith always saves them for me to open in the afternoons~ so sweet of him~ and it makes my day!

Sweet Treats

Below are some peanut butter squares I made for our holiday lunch yesterday in Tulsa and for our lunch today in Oklahoma City (which is where I am at the moment). They are so delicious and so easy! I highly recommend them! I found them here.

Here is the recipe:
2 sticks butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 package graham crackers
1 box of powdered sugar
1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Melt the butter. Grind the graham crackers. Mix everything together but the chocolate. Put into a casserole dish and smash it down. Melt the chocolate and pour on top. Put in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes. Take out and go ahead and cut into squares. Then pop back in the fridge for about another hour so they can continue to harden. See...easy peasy!

So good! Keith and I plan on making some more holiday goodies this weekend. I'll be sure to share! I'm scared to get back on the scale Monday when I go to the Dr. with all of the eating I've been doing...but oh well, tis the season!

31

31 week belly shot...

And in the spirit of the season one in front of our tree...
Am I seriously already 31 weeks? Insane! Here is this week's update:

How far along? 31 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: gain, gain, gain...and the holiday eating isn't helping!
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: Still pretty good but I'm staying up later...it's weird. I think because it's hard for me to get comfortable in the bed I don't want to go to bed as early. And when I say "later" I'm talking 10 o'clock. Ha!
Best moment this week: Going to the Dr. and hearing his heartbeat and seeing him on the ultrasound - we only looked at him for a second but he has grown so much! He now weighs about 3.5 lbs.
Movement: Lots...I can feel limbs!
Food cravings: sweets, and lots of H2O - I'm always so thirsty!
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: no
Belly Button in or out? outie
What I miss: comfortably putting on socks and shoes!
What I am looking forward to: Next week - going home for Christmas!
Weekly Wisdom: These hormones are no joke...I feel like a crazy person 50% of the time. Of course this might also be due to everything else we have going on!
Milestones: Finding a house - our first house as a little family of 4!

Monday, Monday

The weekend flies by way too fast -- but it was a good one! We I got lots of shopping done -- I would say I'm 90% done and wrapped which feels really good. We went to a Christmas party Saturday night which was really fun but I would have much rather been at my sister's surprise 30th birthday party! I was so sad to miss it and I'm hoping she might put some pics up -- hint, hint Shan. But I heard it was an awesome time and I'm so happy she was actually surprised!! The rest of the weekend was spent running errands, relaxing and watching tv. And the weather was so nice yesterday we took Cooper for a walk -- it was in the 50's which was a nice change from the 20's it was in last week!

Keith took this awesome picture of Coop in front of the tree! It's the one he used for my ornament.

My doctor appointment Friday went really good - even though we had to wait about 1.5 hours because she was delivering a baby (but hey, that's her job, right!). I really liked her and she spent a lot of time talking to us and getting to know us! I go back in 2 weeks - I can't believe I'm already at that point.

We have a pretty busy week - we've found a house so we are dealing with inspections, appraisals, etc. this week. Plus I have lots going on at work...it is definitely keeping me busy but I'm not complaining -- I really like it!

Hope you all had a great weekend and your Monday has started well!

A little happy

Have I told you guys lately how much I love my 2 buddies - Keith & Cooper! Well, I do -- a ton! Cooper got me a little surprise the other day -- wasn't that so sweet of him!?

A new ornament with a picture of him in it!
Yep, he is posing in front of the tree in that picture! Adorable!
It's a keepsake ornament and could the saying on the box be any sweeter! I mean it might be the hormones (doubt it - I'm a crier) but it brought tears to my eyes!
Now some other randomness...
I have my first Dr.'s appt. with my new Dr. today - I'm excited about it. I'll be sure to let you guys know how it goes.
It is freezing here! I'm talking single digits and with the wind chill it is below zero. But it is supposed to warm up this weekend. I know the weather has been crazy everywhere! I mean, Birmingham got SNOW last weekend!
I'm so glad it's Friday! I am sleeping in tomorrow! And then we have a Christmas party tomorrow night. Other than than I plan on shopping and wrapping! And snuggling up and watching Christmas movies!

Christmas is in 2 weeks! Insane!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

30

How far along? 30 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Who knows...
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: I had a good night last night - but it's getting a little uncomfortable...I'm basically just flopping from side to side...Keith loves that!
Best moment this week: getting our Christmas tree - it makes me happy!
Movement: Yes! He's a night owl....especially after dinner, he is ready to move!
Food cravings: haven't really had any this week...
Gender: Boy
Labor Signs: no
Belly Button in or out? out...but probably not as "out" as it's going to get!
What I miss: not having to worry about a maternity band showing on my pants!
What I am looking forward to: wrapping presents - i love it - but first I need to buy some! This weekend...hopefully!
Weekly Wisdom: Everyone has an opinion but your gut knows best!
Milestones: 30 weeks - only 10 to go. When we were taking my weekly picture Keith asked if this was 29 and I said no, guess again...he said 28...wrong, 30!!

Treading water...

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of posts but please bare with me as I'm getting adjusted. I'm barely keeping my head above water between the new job, house hunting, preparing for the baby, Christmas shopping (which I've done none of yet) etc. You understand, right?
Be back soon, I promise!

Coop's new spot - under an end table in our apartment. I don't think apartment living is for him -- too many noises which in turn causes too much barking!

Trimming the tree.

Christmas this year is going to be a little different! I'm sad we don't have any of our decorations ~ but I did bring one box of ornaments and we did go get a little small tree. And I think it turned out fine! Besides Christmas isn't about decorations anyway!!
Our tree before - we picked the saddest one we could find at Home Depot!
The during process... I'm used to prelit so I'm no pro at putting the lights on! But this real tree smells so good - I love it!
An action shot of me hanging the ornaments. It still seems weird when I see myself in pictures with that belly!
All done.
Some cute ornaments below. This one was from my Dad & Kathy.
I buy an ornament every year and this is the last year it will only be the 3 of us. Yay!
An adorable ornament Keith's mom gave me!
So cute!!
All finished! It's not much but it's still feels nice at night to have a tree to look at! And I really wanted to hang my new stockings and since we don't have a mantle in the apartment Keith just hung them right on the wall!
I'm slowing starting to get in the Christmas spirit! The temps have really dropped here - it was 30 this morning on my way to work so that is helping! Have you decorated yet?

Finally, some Thanksgiving Pictures

This post contains A LOT of pictures so consider yourself warned!
We had a great Thanksgiving and really enjoyed our couple of days at home. They went by too fast - but that is always the case when you are in good company!
We got to B'ham Tuesday night -- we met the family for dinner -- Mexican, of course! Then me, mom and sister decided to go back to my Mom's and have a little paint party.

We didn't start till late and we were all dressed comfy but it was so much fun. I did something for baby's nursery that I had been planning to do so it felt good to get something finished! Plus it was so nice having my mom and sister there for advice! Shan painted something for the girls bathroom and my Mom painted a Christmas picture! They all turned out awesome and we had a great time!
In the process...

Shan's masterpiece! It's so sweet...and so fitting for sisters!
For the nursery. Our colors are blue, green and yellow - pretty much all variations.
There are 2 smaller canvas's to match this J so it will be his initials hanging on the wall.
Finished product - aren't they good? It was about 2 am at this point. This girl hung pretty good - considering I'm not quite the night owl that Mom and Shannon are!
I didn't get any pictures on Wednesday! I ran errands with Mom, Shan and the girls. And then that night we enjoyed our first Thanksgiving meal with Keith's family! It was delicious and we had fun visiting with them. We also went through some of Keith's old baby stuff. It was neat. I snagged some stuff that I plan to use with our baby!
Then it was Thursday. We woke up and had a lazy morning watching the parade. Then it was time for lunch at my Mom's.
Jon & Sarah & Hobbie peaking up in the bottom!
My little family!
GG holding Henley
Pretty table!
Coop's Thanksgiving treat!
He loved it!
Obviously.
Shan trying to sneak up on Cooper - I love this picture!
Sweet Henley!
Little turkeys!
In their precious Thanksgiving outfits that their mommy made for them! They were adorable! It's hard taking pictures of these two together - usually only 1 cooperates at a time!
Time for family pictures!
Bella, Grandbob and the girls!

Just the girls...
Aunt Tiff, Uncle Keith and little ladies
Sister's pretty family!
All the kiddos.
Family picture minus Henley
Thursday afternoon we headed to meet up with my Dad and Kathy and that side of the family. So sad that I don't have any pictures from there -- I forgot my camera! But it was our third Thanksgiving meal and just as delicious!
Thursday night I went to my sister's to keep the girls while her and Blake headed out to Wal-Mart at 12:30am with the rest of the crazies! But they did get some great deals and they love doing it. I, on the other hand, was happy to stay home keep an eye on her sleeping beauties!
Friday - the Iron Bowl! It was such a great game and I'm so proud of my tigers! They put up a fight and really should have won! We all watched it over at my Mom's.

Prec in her Auburn outfit - Aubie Claus.
Our spread...
Cooper had his game day gear on!
Me and Henley girl!
Brother and husband.
This was at some point after the game - just hanging out - we were all pretty tired. It had been a long couple of days!
Bob & Blake
Friday night I was able to meet up with 2 of my buddies - Amanda and Ashley. I'm sad we didn't take any pictures! But I loved catching up with them.
Then Saturday morning we were off to Kathy's parents for our 4th and final Thanksgiving get together.
Dad & Henley girl.
2 of my favorite people!
Love my Harpy do!
Family picture! Love how Cooper's paw is on my belly!
My favorite boys!
Stinker...
Me & Dad
Sisters
And then it was time to hit the road and head back to Memphis. We spent Saturday night packing up and getting ready for the move. It was a great time at home with family and friends. I couldn't help but think of how different next year will be!
