Heading towards the finish line...

One of the projects we tackled this weekend was making a headboard for the twin bed that we put in my sewing/craft room. This was a super easy, cheap project but it makes such a difference!

We actually already had the wood - but you can get a piece cut at Lowe's or Home Depot to the size you need. Then we bought some foam from Hobby Lobby - you could also use batting. We were able to find a piece of foam that fit our measurements but depending on your size this might not always be the case.
Then we just wrapped it around and pulled it tight and stapled it.

We did the same with the fabric - the size headboard we were making only took 1 yard. We just pulled tight and stapled all the way around. Then we took 1x6 boards and screwed them onto the headboard.
The finished headboard. Again, this was so easy and inexpensive but really adds something to a bed. And the possibilities are endless since you are covering it with fabric!
I'll have some pictures soon of it all finished. I'm hoping to get pictures up this week of the sewing room, guest room, upstairs baths, and finally the nursery!

All it's missing is a monogram! Just kidding-it looks good! You and Keith are so crafty and you both are staying busy. The countdown is on. I can't wait for you to post pics of Sawyer's room because I LOVE it! and you too!
