Big Boy Bed...

I'm interrupting the posts about our trip home to share with you guys that Sawyer has officially moved up to his room. His first night up there was Tuesday night. And he is doing so great - I knew it was time. He was running out of room in the bassinet but he looks tiny in this bed! We have been putting him down around 9:30-10 and he wakes up sometime between 3 and 4 and then he wakes back up between 6 and 7 and then he is up for the morning. Well, I usually bring him down to our bed to snuggle for a bit but I only have a couple days left of that! So, like I said he is doing pretty good!

I am sad that he is no longer in our room. I miss having him so close and he seems so far away now. But I know he can't sleep in our room forever and I wanted to transition him before I started back to work. Thankfully we have a video monitor -- although at this point I'm not sure if that is a blessing or a curse since I now spend most of the night watching him on a tiny screen! And I'll admit, I've even gone up there a few times just to watch his tiny chest rise and fall!

My talented Mom made his bedding! I LOVE it and she did such a great job. I swear, she can do anything!
I took these the first morning I went to get him up.

My sweet baby boy!
Also, I wanted to thank my Mom for another creation she did for Saw. She made his outfit for the Sip and See. She also made the girlies matching dresses. They all looked adorable. I love all the special things she has already made Sawyer. I know that it was all made with love and that means so much to me!

Could he be any cuter? Seriously?!?!
Up next will be the rest of the pictures from our trip home. I lost our small digital camera somewhere over the course of the trip so I don't have any of those pictures! Really makes me was the only camera I had until Keith got in town and I had pictures on there of my grandparents meeting Sawyer for the first time!! But I'll share the rest.

Sip & See

Another highlight of our trip home was the Sip & See my dad and Kathy hosted for us on Saturday! It was really fun and I'm so glad that we got the chance to see our friends and family and introduce them to Sawyer! Kathy did a great job planning everything and she put a lot of extra touches on it that made it extra special!

The cakes were awesome! They were 3 different flavors! I only tasted the strawberry and it was yummy!
Precious centerpiece!
The table coming in! Everything looked so good!
Little Auburn table. Kathy even managed to get Aubie's autograph for Sawyer! So exciting...
A shot of the table with all the goodies. It was all so yummy!
I love the sign with his name. So cute and such a sweet saying. Also, the little cards with his picture on it were for the guest to take home and had our address and the blog website printed on it.
Cute little candy bars.
Sweet Henley!
Below are some pictures from the party.

Sweet cousins! This was about the best picture we could get! Ha!
I just realized after doing this post that I didn't even take any pictures with Kathy! I was pretty busy introducing people to Sawyer and she was busy making sure everything else was good. And it was great!

We really appreciate them hosting the party for us. Thanks Dad & Kathy - you really made it so special and we love you guys!

We had a GREAT trip home! It was a whirlwind and I still can't believe the week is over. I'm still trying to catch up, unpack, do laundry, prepare for next week (tear!) get the point. I have lots of pictures to share and I'll do a recap of the week soon but I had to go ahead and share with you guys that my little brother is ENGAGED!

Yay! We are all so excited! We already consider Sarah family but we are all looking forward to making it official!

Jon was so excited and so sweet the last month trying to pick out the perfect ring. Big thanks to my buddy Ash - she hooked him up!! He was planning on proposing last Friday but he got the ring on Wednesday and once Sarah got in town from Auburn Thursday he couldn't wait! So he did it Thursday night. He called me and said he couldn't wait and needed a plan to do it Thursday night. There is a covered bridge at the entrance of Keith's parents neighborhood (where we were staying Thursday night) so I suggested we cover it with candles and flowers and he bring her there and propose. So, that is what he did. We lit 80 candles and it looked so pretty! I was so nervous trying to make sure that everything was lit and we were gone by the time he pulled up that I forgot to snap a picture! After he proposed they came to Keith's parents house where our whole family was waiting to congratulate them!

Right afterwards! So happy...
The goods! It is beautiful!

Friday night we had a little celebration at my Dad and Kathy's. The happy couple!
Us with our babies!
I am looking forward to sharing this exciting time with them.
I love you guys and am so happy for you both.

going home...

Sawyer and I are headed to Birmingham tomorrow morning bright and early ~ his first trip "home". And Keith and Coop are driving in Wednesday night. This should be a really fun week. We are all really excited to see our family and friends and finally introduce Sawyer to everyone he hasn't already met.

He is really getting a little personality! And is so cute and pleasant!
I'm a little nervous about traveling with him by myself but he is such a great baby I think it will be fine!

We won't be back until the following Monday so I won't be blogging until then. I plan on soaking up every second with the people I love the most. But I promise lots of pictures when I do return.

Dr. visit.

We got a great report yesterday at the Dr.. Our little boy is as healthy as can be! But it about broke my heart when he got his shots! So sad! But he was a champ...he let out a pretty good scream but once I scooped him up and loved on him he calmed right down! They were out of one shot (not sure how that happens!) so we have to go back in two weeks to get it. So I hate to put him through it again!

Here are his stats:
Weight: 12.12 -- 68 percentile
Height: 23 inches -- 43 percentile
Head Circumference: 15.9 -- 52 percentile

I didn't get any pictures while we were there but I snapped this one once we got back in the car!

First trip to the Zoo...

We headed to the zoo yesterday and we had a great time! It is a pretty good zoo with a lot of animals and it is only $8. I haven't been to the zoo in years but that seemed pretty cheap to me!

Sawyer snoozed through most it - the elephants bored him. He is more of a tiger fan. Ha!
He really is a great baby!
The monkey's were my favorite.
My precious!
Daddy's buddy.
I love this sweet face!
With 2 of my boys!
Keith, Sawyer and his grandparents.
The tiger in the background.
In front of the penguins.
Here are some good shots Keith got of the animals.

It was a really good day!
