Merry Christmas

Our Christmas season has been wonderful....simply wonderful. All the moments spent keeping Saw from pulling down the tree, from breaking any(more) ornaments, and fishing wrapping paper out of his mouth... Honestly, it's been great! Because as exhausting as the above moments can be we've also experienced seeing his entire face light up when we turn on all our Christmas lights (every single time), we've watched him play illuminated by only the Christmas tree, and we've seen him belly laugh as we lift him up to ring the jingle bell mistletoe and then be smothered in kisses. And I've tried really hard to soak it all up. Because I know that next year will be different. He won't be 10 months old and it won't be his first Christmas. And while I'm hopeful it will be just as good, it's hard to imagine it being any better than it is now.

This child is good for my soul.
Last year, I was dreaming of this. And now, I'm living this.

Merry Christmas!

Tipper, what a precious post! The pics of Sawyer are awesome. The feelings you describe brought back such fond memories I have of Christmas with you, Shan & Jon when you were tots. The holiday traditions that you are starting will be magical memories for your children and cherished moments for you. Love you all so much and more!

Tiff, your words always come from the heart and I can feel each one of them. My memories from all of the Christmas's past with your dad, you, Shannon and Jonathan are so special and always in my heart (remember the one where you wrote your own note to yourself and signed it "Dad"!! HA HA HA HA!!!) This is only the beginning of a lifetime of memories you will have with this special, special little man! It's been great to have to you all home and able to spend time with you!

Much love to you all!!
