Check ups

We had check ups last week and got great reports.
We are so thankful for these healthy boys.

Sawyer ~ 2 years
29 lbs - 74%
34 inches - 33%

Graham ~ 6 months
18 lbs 8 oz - 71%
27.25 inches - 73%
16.5 inches - 33% {head circumference}

They both napped at the same time on Sunday.  It was a small miracle...I didn't know what to do with myself.  So, I grabbed my camera to document.

Apparently I did jinx myself after my post last week about Graham sleeping through the night.  He's woken up every night since.
This too shall pass, this too shall pass, this too shall pass....you get the point.

I swear the only reason Sawyer naps so good is to regain more energy to run wild.  He becomes more strong willed every single day.  But he gives me a kiss and tells me "night night, lub you" every night and every thing else is magically erased.  Then we wake up and start again.

Sarah's bridal tea

We squeezed in Sarah's bridal tea during our visit home.  I was so glad to be able to be there and help.  It turned out great and they got some awesome stuff.  I can't believe their wedding is in less than 2 months.  So excited for Sarah to officially become my sister!

Graham || 6 months!

Dear Graham,

You are 6 months old.  I can't hardly believe 6 months have already past since you joined our family.  The days are going by so quickly.  And although we are entering one my favorites ages ~ I find myself clinging to keep you my little baby. But I am loving watching you grow and seeing you start to discover the world.

You are an absolute joy.  You are usually pretty easy going and only cry when you are really tired.  You are really starting to play with toys -- well, mostly chew on them.  You like sitting in the bumbo and your jumper.  You still can't really sit up on your own -- you can for a few seconds and then you either go forward or fall over.  But you are getting better every day.  You still like your swing but I think you will be out growing it soon.  You wiggle in it like crazy so we have to make sure and buckle you it - you also love to grab the mobile.  You are starting to jibber jabber all the time.

You are still nursing 3 times a day - morning, evening and before bed.  You take 2 bottles at daycare - around 7 ounces.  Pretty much every 4 hours.  We started cereal a week ago.  You are still getting the hang of it.  You eat it just once a day now but we'll move to twice a day in next couple of days and then slowly start with veggies and then fruits.

You weigh around 18 lbs and are 27 inches tall.  You are wearing mostly all 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diaper.

You are pretty much sleeping through the night.  Hopefully I didn't just jinx myself.  You go to bed around 8:30 and get up around 6:45.  Most mornings I have to wake you up.  You don't nap great.  Mostly just cat naps at daycare.  You do better at home but still not great.  We are starting to lay you down awake for naps and you are starting to be able to put yourself to sleep after a little fussing.  I still rock you to sleep at night.  It is a sweet, special time and I need it as much as you.

I am so blessed to be your mommy.  There aren't adequate words to describe my love for you and your brother.  It runs deep and wide.

Here are some pictures of you at 6 months.  You are such a cutie!

Day of love...

Honestly, I'm not a huge Valentine's Day fan.  Keith and I don't make it that big of a deal for each other.  We tried in the beginning when we first got together but nothing ever worked out ~ flowers were mis-delivered, dinner plans fell through, etc.  It's mostly all a big joke now.  But, when it comes to my boys I think you all know I believe in celebrating!

We made valentine's for Sawyer's friends at school.  They had a party.  We also made some goodies for their teachers and our sweet neighbors.

He's such a good helper.

Thank you Pinterest!

A few goodies for the boys...

Have I mentioned that Graham has officially decided he does not want a paci.  That's because he prefers to suck his middle two fingers.  All the time.  Cracks us up.  I'm excited that I won't have to break him of the paci down the road -- but a little nervous because I can't take away his fingers.  It's all good though.

We finished the night with a family dinner - candle light and heart shaped tacos style.  And we broke out the fine china.  Ha.

It was a great day.  How could it not be when you are blessed with 3.5 (Cooper) Valentine's?!

celebrating barnyard style ~ saw's 2nd birthday party

Sawyer's birthday party was a blast.  But honestly it was little bit of a blur to me.  It went by so fast but it was so great to see all of our family and friends and get to visit with everyone.  As fast as it went by I still managed to take over 200 pictures -- thanks Mom for capturing some as well.  And Jon for being the official videographer.  I told him one day I'll repay the favor...except I'll probably be chasing 4 kids by the time he has his first so that may not be possible.

I love planning parties -- and I especially love planning them for my babies.  Sawyer is really into cows and farm animals right now so I decided on a barnyard theme.  I also decided to do a brunch.  The foods we had are some of Sawyer's favorite and the morning is just a better time for him.

A whole lot of love went in to this party.  But he was worth every second spent planning, creating, making, etc.  After all, you only turn 2 once, right?

Enjoy the pictures!
