We also planted our garden last weekend.  The usual...tomatoes, bell peppers, jalepenos, cucumbers, squash, and zuchinni.  I'm already looking forward to our first harvest.

And of course we had a little helper who was in heaven playing in the dirt.

Here he is telling me I need to go check on his "bubba" as he likes to call him.

We are looking forward to another nice weekend, playing outside and perhaps paying the Easter bunny a little visit.  Hope you have a great weekend!

playing outside

The weather has been really nice here.  Actually in the 80's this week.  But last weekend was really nice and we spent lots of time outside which was so great because it had rained for 5 days straight before then.  We were all in need of a little vitamin D.

We are definitely signing up for soccer next year.

I know I'm biased but he is actually pretty good.

Right now, he kicks with his left foot a lot.  I think he's still trying to figure out the left/right thing.

And this little brother is just happy being an observer...for now.  I'm sure it won't be long until there are two little boys running around here.

Happiest of birthdays...

to my awesome husband!
  He wears many hats!
daddy, best buddy, handyman, maid, grocery shopper, chef, etc.  You get the point.
He is too good to me....and sometimes that can be a hard job.
He is a blessing to us and we love him more than life!

He is also currently out of town which is why this post is picture less.  We will be celebrating this weekend!

Graham || 7 months!

Dear Graham,

You are 7 months old.  Such a great age.  You are so smiley and happy.  You are very laid back and it's so fun watching your little personality develop.  You are really just the cutest little brother ever!

You weigh around 19 lbs and are around 27.5 inches long.  You are wearing 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

You are still nursing -- in the morning, evening and before bed.  You take 2 bottles at daycare, usually around 7 oz.  You are eating baby food twice a day.  Cereal at daycare and then a fruit or veggie at dinner time.  We are still making our way through everything.  I'm still making your baby food and you've pretty much had everything recommended for stage 1 except green beans and pears.  You'll get those this week.  Once we go through those we'll move to 3 times a day.  So far so good.  You definitely prefer the fruits but you also really like carrots.

Every time I do a monthly update and talk about sleep, I jinx myself.  Let's just say things are really good right now.  You usually go down between 7:30-8:00pm and wake up around 7am.  You aren't on a great nap schedule and you usually just catnap at daycare.  We are working on this.  We are also working on laying you down awake for your naps and letting you put yourself to sleep.  You are pretty good at that.  But night time I still nurse/rock you to sleep.  No plans to stop that anytime's the sweetest part of my day!

You love to sit in the floor and play with toys.  They usually go straight to your mouth.  You are getting better and better at sitting up.  When we lay you down you start flipping from your back to your belly and back again.  And you have officially found your feet.  You love to grab them and put them in your mouth.  You also like to play in your jumper and the walker.

You are saying da-da and doing lots of jibber jabbering.  You still love to be held and I still love to hold you.  You REALLY love your brother and you think he's pretty funny.  That makes two of us!  He can get the biggest smiles and laughs from you.  And watching you two interact and smile and laugh together melts me!

You brighten up our lives.  I thank God every single day that I get to be your mommy!

I love you more than you will ever know!

Here are some pictures of you at 7 months:

Comparision at 6 months...

Saw on left, Gra on right.
I can't believe how much Sawyer has changed.  And I can't believe that Graham is 7 months today.
Time goes by so quickly!

Pictures ~ 2 yrs & 6 mos

We had a mini session recently with the photographer who took Graham's newborn pictures.  I didn't have high hopes.  I'm slowly learning not to set unrealistic expectations when it comes to toddlers and pictures.  I take enough pictures to know.  But she was able to capture some good ones.  I wanted 1 good family one (with me actually in the picture - ha!) and 1 good one of each boy.  Done and done.  Hooray!

Saw is mean mugging.  And you can't see the sucker he is holding behind my back that ended up stuck in my hair.  Ha! But everyone is looking at the camera and no one is trying to wrangle free.

The next 2 are my favs of the boys.  Already framed.

I'll eventually get a good sibling shot, right?!?!
I"m starting to think it's more of a boy thing than an age thing.  My sister gets the cutest pictures of my nieces hugging and cheesing.

First haircut...more like first trim.

Graham got his first little trim last weekend.  He had these few little strands in the back that had gotten really long.  I should have cut them a long time ago but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.  Well, I finally did.  But don't worry, he won't be getting another one anytime soon.

Sawyer was the entertainment.

Sad.  but better...

Giving kisses for doing so good during his first haircut.

After watching Graham get his hair cut Sawyer decided he wanted one too.  I've been trimming Saw's hair for a while now.  It's challenging.  He won't sit still for longer than 1/2 a second and he has a lot of hair.  I do the best I can.  Lucky for both of us, it grows fast.

There are no after pictures of Sawyer.  I was too busy cleaning up the cup of water he poured out, and cleaning up hair, and taking his clothes off and then chasing him around to put more clothes on him.  But they both got haircuts so mission accomplished!

I am in LA this week for some training.
It's not as glamorous as it sounds.
I am homesick.  I miss my boys.

But we had a great weekend before I left.

Coop and Graham checking each other out.

Yes, He does.  And so do I.

Excited about making my boys some outfits.  Now, I just need more free time.

Just keeping it real.  He's two, we have our moments.   I can't remember exactly what caused this fit...I'm sure it was something terrible :: like I wouldn't give him more jelly beans, or I took his socks off instead of letting him do it...who knows.  Don't worry, he bounces back quickly.

I finished Graham's Easter basket.  And

Counting down till Friday...
