Pictures from Nonnie & Popsy's visit...

We had a great visit with my Dad and Kathy.  It was so nice to spend lots of quality time with them.  I know this blog makes it look mostly like we're all smiles, all the time around here.  And I can assure you that is most definitely NOT the case.  I mean we're human beings with a 2 year old and a 10 month old.  I try to "keep it real" around here on the blog but mostly in a lighthearted way.  To be honest it's just not really me to come here and rant and rave about life.  I'm an optimist by nature and I believe there is always something to be thankful for and things could always be worse!  Besides, it's my family story I'm writing and I'm doing it how I want to remember it!

Anyway, back to Nonnie & Popsy's visit, we headed to Incredible Pizza one night and had a blast.  And spent too much money trying to win a stupid ipad.  Ugh, why is it that you know those games are rigged but you still think you can win?!

Pretty sure, skee ball is Sawyer's favorite arcade game.

Money sucking machine.  I love Graham holding Nonnie's hand.

Here is a "keeping it real" moment.  It looks like Sawyer is enjoying riding in this car but about 1/2 a second after I took this picture he started crying, wanted to get out and refused to ride anything else.  And then he got majorly scared when we walked up to a game where a monster jumped out of a trash can.  Like he shrieked scared.

But, he did love this mini bowling and could have stayed here all night.  It was so cute with the mini lanes, pins and balls.

Thinking it's time for this guy to start wearing some shoes...

We spent a lot of time just playing around the house and outside.

Funny story about this picture.  We were sitting around watching Extreme Makeover Weight Loss Edition and started talking about running.  Somehow that ended up in me and Dad betting each other we couldn't run a mile without stopping.  Well, actually me saying that neither one of us could and Dad saying we both could.  So, at 9:20pm, we decided to give it a go.  Kathy followed behind in the car in case either of us passed out and to document it with our video camera.  I'm happy (and surprised) to say we both did it.  1 mile without stopping.  I know that seems like nothing to some people but when you haven't exercised in over 2 years that's pretty good!  I think I'm in better shape than I thought because I run around after 2 boys!  And I was very impressed with my Dad.  I really wanted to quit about halfway through but kept thinking I can't let my 55 year old dad show me up.  Ha!

We had a great time and were sad to see them leave!  Hopefully they'll be back very soon!
