life lately

Not too much going on around here.  Trying to survive this extreme heat, watching the Olympics (we are obsessed...Sawyer is especially obsessed with the swimming, to the point where we finally had to just record it and keep playing it over and over), starting to obsess about plan Graham's first birthday party.  A little of this, a little of that.  Here are some pics from the last week or so...

We ate dinner at Chick-fil-A last Friday night and let Saw play on the playground.  When it was time to leave I promised him we would go home and play on our play set if he didn't pitch a fit.  It worked and it was worth sitting out in the heat sweating than to have to carry him out kicking and screaming.  A little bribery never hurt, right?!
Getting so big...climbing up the ladder by himself.

Love this squishy face.

We've been spending a lot of time inside.  I found these cute little crafts at the dollar store and they keep him busy for about 2 minutes.

For anyone considering buying my boys a toy anytime soon, please don't.  As you can see below, we have plenty.

Lots of napping went on this weekend.

Right now the boys are on totally different naps schedules.  Graham is waking up from his morning nap as Sawyer is going down.  And then Graham goes back down as Sawyer is waking up.  So, as the above 2 were napping I was chasing little brother around.

Loves the air vents.  But who can blame him.

I tried for a picture after church on Sunday.  This is the best I got.  My friend Whit made the boys these outfits.  She is so talented and they are adorable.

Graham got an early birthday present from my Momo and Aunt Jane.  Some adorable clothes from Baby Gap.  Seriously, so cute.  They always pick out the cutest stuff.

My grandparents are so sweet -- they send diaper money often to help us out.  My pop did the same for my sister when her girls were in diapers and now is doing it for us.  And they also sent a little extra money to buy the boys some fruit.  So, we enjoyed a delicious watermelon on them.  Thanks Momo and Pop!

So grateful for these uneventful days....

brushy, brushy, brushy

This kid is so funny.  Like, seriously has me laughing out loud every single day.  If you ever want to know phrases you say a lot then hang out with a 2 year old.  They are like parrots.  And apparently, I say "okay" and "I'm not kidding" a lot.  He's started saying these two phrases all the time and it's hilarious.

In the bath tub --
Saw: "I don't want you to wash my hair"
Me: "okay, sawyer" (as I'm pouring water over his head)
Saw (with a total serious face): "I'm not kidding"

Saw to Graham --
Saw: "Bubba, you can't chew on this, okay"
Saw: "okay"
Saw: "okay"
Keeps repeating "okay" waiting on Graham to reply...finally I chime in and say "okay, Sawyer"

You never know what's going to come out of his mouth.  And some totally random pictures of him brushing his teeth.

Graham || 11 months

Dear Graham,

You are now 11 months old.  Part of me is so sad because you are my baby and the time is passing too quickly.  But the other part of me is just enjoying watching you grow and develop your own little personality.  And watching you and your brother really starting to play and interact together is priceless.  I catch myself saying "just wait till Graham can walk and talk", when referring to you guys playing together.  You guys are already best buds!

You have 5 teeth - 3 on top and 2 on bottom.  It looks like a couple more may be popping up soon.  You are nursing 4 times a day (take 2 bottles when at daycare) and eating baby food 3 times a day.  You are also eating lots of table food and your prefer this over baby food.  It is so hard feeding you baby food.  You try and grab the spoon and sometimes are successful. Then you'll put your hand all over your face and hair.  It's a mess.  You drink water from your sippy cup and soon we'll start giving you milk in there.  I don't think we'll have a problem getting you off the bottle -- you aren't that attached.

You weigh almost 21 lbs. and are 30 inches long.  You are wearing size 3 diapers and 12 month clothes.  A few 18 month things fit too.

You go to bed between 7-8 depending on your afternoon nap and you wake up between 7-8am.  You usually take 2 naps - usually a long morning nap and a quick afternoon nap.

You are crawling and pulling up on everything.  You love to climb.  Your favorite toy is whatever your brother is currently playing with.  You want to do everything your brother does.  And he can get the best laughs out of you. You've said "mama" a couple of times and hearing that makes my heart sing!  You love for us to crawl behind you and chase you...you just laugh and laugh.  And you are very ticklish.

You are such a joy.  So easy and laid back.  But also becoming a little daredevil.  Our family is totally and completely blessed by you!

I love, love, love you!!

Here are some pictures of you at 11 months:
Can't leave out big brother.

Most of the pictures look like this.

More fun with the Boland's....

Just some more pictures from the Boland's visit..

A little photo op in the front yard...

Harper and I did crafts every night after the "2 year olds" went to bed.  And we all painted one day - this heart was one of the products from that.

We had so much fun last time we went to Incredible Pizza we decided to head back.

And I put some shoes on Graham this time.  Ha.

Go-carts with Harp -- great ending.

The Boland Bunch visit

We had the best time with my sister, Blake & the girls.  Our days were full although we technically didn't do a whole lot.  But it was a blast and the kiddos all played really good together.  There were a few times Henley and Sawyer wanted to duke it out.  Ha.  They are both stubborn and 2!  And our house felt so quiet and empty after they left.

I'm so thankful my sister braved a plane ride with them solo to come spend a few days with us!  I'm so thankful for the time these cousins (and us) got to spend together and for all the memories made!
