Guest bedroom makeover

So, as I mentioned earlier, once we got the new window seat in the guest room we decided to re-do the rest of the room.  Which included getting rid of the bed, dresser and night stand (we sold those on Craigslist) and replacing them.

We knew we wanted to make the headboard and nightstand.  So after finding something we both liked, Keith got to work.  He's so handy and I'm so thankful!

We found this dresser at an antique mall and took it home knowing we would paint it.  We made our own chalk paint using a few different tutorials I found on pinterest.  Basically 1 part plaster of paris to 2 parts paint.

Here is the dresser before.

And here is the room all put together.

So much better.  The room seems bigger and airier.

We have a little desk nook in our hallway.  I bought this chair 3 years ago to go there with the intentions of re-doing it.  Well, I finally got around to it.  Ha.  Better late than never, right?!

Everything looks AWESOME!!! There is too much crafty talent in the Jackson household!! Just from the pictures, the room looks a lot bigger!! Popsy asked if a cable outlet was also installed!?! ;)
