Sidewalk paint fun...

We made some sidewalk chalk paint a couple weekends ago.  This was our 2nd time making it and the boys loved it just as much as the first time.  It's super easy to make and cleans up easily and we should really make it more often considering this kept them busy for a good 45 minutes!  Ha! We just followed a recipe found on pinterest...basically just water, cornstarch and food coloring.

Big Splash

We headed to a local water park a couple of weekends ago.  The boys are still too young (well, mostly just too short because they totally wanted to ride) to ride most of the rides, but they loved the kiddie area and all the slides in it.  It was a fun way to spend a couple of hours!

I've been trying to be intentional about our summer.  So, we've been filling our weekends with fun adventures.  I'm wanting to soak up this last season as just the 4 of us but also because I want my kids to experience that summer feeling even though Keith and I work full time and the boys are still going to school pretty much everyday.  I want them to remember excitement around this time of year -- where things are more relaxed and bed times are later and you smell like sunscreen and run bare foot.  It can be hard to balance and even harder to push down the mommy guilt sometimes but I think we are doing pretty okay.

Here are some pictures from our day.

34 weeks

How far along? 34 weeks!!
Total weight gain: Hoping only 1 lb in the past week
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: I have to get up about 3 times a night to pee -- so not that great.
Best moment this week: celebrating Keith on Father's Day
Movement: so much!
Food cravings: fruit and coke zero
Gender: GIRL
Symptoms: some round ligament pain and starting to get a tad uncomfortable and poor Keith has to listen to me complain.  It's mostly just at night when I'm trying to get comfortable laying down.  I think -- he might would disagree... :0
Belly Button in or out? out
What I miss: having clothes that fit -- I'm already tired of all the maternity clothes I have and I refuse to buy anymore at this point.
What I am looking forward to: getting the bassinet out this weekend to start making some new bedding for it.
Milestones: 6 weeks or less!

Just some random pictures of what we've been enjoying lately....

Baby birds
We've had 2 nest full of eggs this year in our back yard.  Sadly, one nest full of 3 babies didn't make it.  This made me more sad than it probably should.  Keith kindly reminded me that this is how nature works.  But we found another nest a couple weeks later and we were able to watch those babies grow (from afar because their momma was crazy protective) and they flew the coop over the weekend.  Keith practically risked his life for the last picture. haha

Playing outside
We've been lucky and it hasn't been too terribly hot yet so we've been outside a lot.  The play set is still a favorite.  They love for Keith and I to pretend we are the big bad wolf and scare them, which is what was happening in these pictures.  And then some running and racing.

Anything to do with water, the hose or getting wet is right up their alley!

Brotherly love
Don't mind the clothes hanger - they pretend to play bow and arrows with those....

Coloring and writing

Our favorite right now are our church songs.  These songs are so cute and catchy and of course have the best messages.  Search Children's Ministry Deals on youtube and check them out.

Someone is starting to get little tiny freckles across his nose and cheeks and I'm pretty sure it's my favorite thing ever!!

specifically strawberries.
They are his favorite!

Happy Father's Day

To our favorite person.
The person who serves us all in countless ways.
The person who makes our lunches and makes us laugh.
The person wipes the counter tops and wipes our tears.
The person who makes every single part of our lives better just by being in it.
The person who spent his special day in the garage painting furniture for his baby girl on the way.

We love you, Keith, more than words can say!
And we appreciate all you do for all of us!
