The hospital stay and going home

The rest of our time in the hospital was good.  We wanted to leave Thursday night but MK was a little jaundice so they wanted to re-check her Friday morning so we stayed Thursday night and left around lunch on Friday.  So, 2 nights was fine but we are always so ready to get home.

Our family was with us most of the time in the hospital and we all just hung out and loved on our new baby girl!  And took about a million pictures!

The boys have been so sweet with her since the minute she arrived and are absolutely in love with their sister.  Always wanting to hold her and she doesn't go longer than 5 minutes without a kiss from someone!

My doctor - that I love!!

My sister gifted us with this door hanger and I love it.  It has MK's life verse on it and is perfect!

This is the same gown both the boys wore home.  My mom made it before Sawyer was born and it was with the intention that all of our babies would wear it home.  My mom added some lace and ribbon to make it more girly for Miller Kate.  And she wore home the bonnet and booties I wore home as a baby.  It was all so perfect!

I mean, is there anything sweeter?!

Looks like a little baby doll!

Excited to be headed home!

She had quite the welcoming committee waiting on her!

The best helpers excited to have their sis home!

She had her first Dr. appt on Saturday (7/26) to check on her jaundice.  They didn't prick her heel but could tell it was getting better based on her color and weight.  She weighed 7lbs. 3oz (she got down to 6lbs 15oz. in the hospital).  We went back to the Dr. the following Wednesday (7/30) and at a week old she weighed 7lbs. 6oz - so almost back at her birth weight!  We go back Wednesday for another check and to check on her jaundice.

These cousins had the best few days together!!

We are all doing really good and adjusting to life as a family of 5.
