Iron Bowl

We had a blast watching the Iron Bowl this year.  We had some of our family over and although the outcome of the game wasn't what we were hoping (Auburn lost) we still had a really great time and ate some really great food!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and a really great long weekend relaxing and being together and with family.

We had Thanksgiving with Keith's family on Wednesday night.
I only got these 2 pictures with my phone.

Everyone woke up happy Thanksgiving morning.  We had a lazy morning at home before heading to my Mom's for lunch and then to my sister's for dinner.
I just snapped a couple of pictures of us at home that morning just to remember some of the mundane moments that I never want to forget.

Sister happy in the swing.

Keith smoking turkeys for dinner.

breakfast tradition of homemade cinnamon rolls and pigs in a blanket.

sleepy head just up from bed

watching ninja turtles on his ipad

Thanksgiving day and every day, so very, very thankful for these 3!
And their daddy!

The very best part about this Thanksgiving was being able to come to our home every night and sleep in our beds.  This is the first time since college we haven't had to travel for Thanksgiving!
All the praise hands! ;)

We have officially moved HOME!
(This is OLD news if you follow me on any type of social media.  But I just realized I never posted here and aside from our baby girl this is the highlight of our year so needs to be included!)

We've been praying for this for years!
Not because we are unhappy where we were (quite the opposite actually) but because we desperately want our babies to grow up near family!
It's been a crazy, stressful couple of months and we still have lots of hard work ahead of us but we are certain this is exactly where we need to be.
Our faithful God has directed our steps and opened so many doors to make this possible and we are so very grateful!

And a few more of just Miller Kate since she's currently the only one who can't run off! ;)

Had to work hard for this grin!

These pictures were taken in September.

Miller Kate || 4 months

Dear Miller Kate,

You are now 4 months old and the most precious little girl!  You are a happy baby and while you once made us work for the smiles you are flashing them all the time now.  We can look at you and you grin.  You also have the cutest little laugh and we are hearing that more and more.

You are a healthy girl.  We had your 4 month check up this past Friday.  Here are your stats:
Weight: 15 lbs 11oz
Height: 24 inches
HC: 16.25 inches

You are around 80% for weight and 30% for height! :)  You still nurse around every 3-4 hours, sometimes more and sometimes less.  I just follow your lead.  You are wearing 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers.

You are a really good sleeper.  Better than your brothers were at this age.  You usually go down for the night around 9 and will sleep 6 or 7 hours.  You wake up and nurse and pretty much go right back to sleep until around 6 or 7.  You still nap in your swing some during the day and usually take one good, long nap on our bed.

You like sitting up in the bumbo and also laying under your play mat.  You will swat at the toys. You have also discovered your hands and will look and play with them.  And suck on them some too.

You have brought so much joy to our family!  We are all completely obsessed with you!

I love you so much, little sister!

Some pictures of you at 4 months:

Fall trip to Gatlinburg

We headed to Gatlinburg a couple of weeks ago for some family fun.  We decided instead of doing lots of gifts this year for Christmas we would all take a vacation together.  It was nice to get away for a couple of days and spend some time together.  My dad and Kathy rented a huge chalet for everyone and we had fun just hanging out and doing some fun stuff around town.

The hot tub was a big hit - the kids loved it and Shan and I joined them one night!  Not quite the relaxing hot tub experience but super fun!

We headed to Wonder Works one day and spend several hours going through it.  It's a hands on museum that everyone enjoyed!

Smallest cousins, 6 months apart.

Best picture we could get of all the cousins!
Harper (7), Cameron (9 months), Henley (5), Graham (3), Miller Kate (3 months), Sawyer (4)

We went out after dinner one night to ride the mountain roller coaster.  This was probably our favorite part of the entire trip.  It was SO fun.  The boys loved it and would have rode a hundred times if it didn't cost a small fortune! ;)

I sat out the first round and snuggled my girl.

Everyone lined up and ready to go.

Sawyer screamed this is terrific as we were flying down the hill.  I was a little surprised at how much they both loved it!

This is part of the coaster - it's all lit up and goes up the mountain and back down.

Snacking on some fudge and walking around downtown Gatlinburg.

Love this family picture we snapped!

We  hit up several arcades over the couple days we were there.  It's always a favorite.

We did some shopping while the kiddos played putt putt.  Keith snapped this pic after Saw got a hole in one!

Enjoying a movie in the theater room at our chalet.  Not pictured: smores and hot chocolate.

Ready to head home.  After a quick stop at the outlets.

It was such an awesome time and I'm still bummed I didn't get a group shot.  We had good intentions but it seemed like someone was always missing or napping or something.  Hoping we can make this a yearly trip!
