Happy Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter weekend.  And really for several weeks leading up to Easter.  We were really intentional this year about talking to the boys about Easter and what it all really means.  This is the first year they somewhat get it (really just Saw).  We did our resurrection eggs every night and they loved those and we all loved that it told the story of the cross and our Risen Savior!  And we've been having egg hunts for about 2 weeks.  Ha

We actually spent our good Friday having a yard sale.  It was our first one and I'd say it was pretty successful.  We dyed our eggs that afternoon and then enjoyed dinner outside on the patio.  The weather has been so nice lately.

We attended Easter service Saturday evening.

Not a bad family pic for a tripod and remote.  Ha

My precious little southern boys.  I know knee socks and smocked button-ons aren't everyone's style but, I mean, they look precious!!

And the Easter bunny stopped by

Saw's face kills me.  He loves presents and is always so excited when opening them.

And then we spent some time outside just being together and it was so, so nice!!

I'd say someone REALLY like bubbles!!

I could eat this little cutie up!!

And of course this one too!!

And we actually spent Easter day driving to Birmingham.  We already had a trip planned for this weekend but surprised our family by showing up a few days early.  It was awesome!  And we've been enjoying our week so much!!

24 weeks

How far along? 24 (25) weeks - 24 weeks by my original calculations but they moved my due date up after my ultrasound so really more like 25.  But I'm going to keep track by my original weeks.
Total weight gain: Well, I had my dr. appt yesterday and I'm up 19 lbs total so far.  I feel like this is pretty consistent to my last 2 pregnancies.  So, I'm hoping to finish out with a total gain of around 35 lbs.  I'm trying not to stress out and just enjoy and embrace this time.  You only get to be pregnant a few times, right?!
Stretch marks? still none...I think it's more genetics but I'm a crazy person about lathering up the belly.
Sleep: it's pretty good....it's usually not anything pregnancy related that interferes with my sleep.
Best moment this week: hearing her little heartbeat at my dr. appt.
Movement: yep and I love it
Food cravings: frosted flakes
Gender: GIRL
Symptoms: some leg aches
Belly Button in or out? creeping out...
What I miss: not really anything
What I am looking forward to: Easter with my little family, heading to Birmingham next week and then a weekend beach trip sans the boys to celebrate my dear friend getting married!  Lots of exciting stuff!
Milestones: had my sugar test and got my rhogam shot

Sunday Funday

Pinterest inspired craft that we did a couple weeks ago.  Let me just say good thing these plates only cost a dollar because most of the sharpie came off.  Even after baking them in the oven like the tutorials I read said to do.  Oh well, it was totally worth $4 because we all had fun making our plates.

Saw is especially into drawing/coloring/writing right now so he loved it.  He probably worked on his plate for an hour and covered pretty much the entire thing!

And we ended the night with homemade milkshakes.
Disclaimer: mine is only more full because everyone else was already drinking theirs while I set up the camera to snap the pic.  haha

23 weeks

How far along? 23 (24) weeks - 22 weeks by my original calculations but they moved my due date up after my ultrasound so really more like 23.  But I'm going to keep track by my original weeks.
Total weight gain: I'm hoping for just 4 lbs. this past month.  I'll know next week when I go back to doctor.  I'm also doing my sugar test and getting my rhogam shot.  How is it time for that?!
Stretch marks? nope
Sleep: it's pretty good....it's usually not anything pregnancy related that interferes with my sleep.
Best moment this week: Keith got to feel her move!!
Movement: yes and can tell she is getting bigger and stronger
Food cravings: cheese dip - although that's not that unusual for me.
Gender: GIRL
Labor Signs: nope
Belly Button in or out? still more flat than in or out
What I miss: nothing much...
What I am looking forward to: we have a little mini session scheduled this weekend for some family pictures.
Milestones: Keith feeling her move.  I'm excited for the boys to feel as she gets stronger.

Date night

Last Saturday night, Saw and Keith headed to a birthday party for one of Saw's friends from school.  Sawyer was a little sad that his brother couldn't go with him.  I tried explaining that Graham wasn't really friends with the birthday boy to which Sawyer replied "I'll tell him his name is Graham".  Ha.  Sweet brothers.

So, I decided to take advantage of a little one on one time with Graham.  It was really such a treat.  It's so nice to spend alone time with them.  They can be totally different kids when they have you all to themselves.

Just so happened our Chick-fil-A was having a Mommy & Son date night.  Perfect! We enjoyed a yummy cfa meal complete with dessert, got a balloon, went on a hayride, played on the playground, and took pics with the cows.

Apparently the person who made this cone missed their lesson in ice cream cone 101.

It really was super fun night. And something we need to do more often!  One on one time with each of the boys.
