October fun

Our October was jam packed with fun (and candy!).  We squeezed every ounce of holiday/seasonal fun we could out the month.  Some was well documented with pictures and some wasn't (a few snapped with my phone) but it was all a blast.  We played baseball, went to Husky games on Friday nights, went to the homecoming parade, had school field trips and dress up days, carved pumpkins, we trunk or treated, fall festival'd, boo'd at the zoo and wrapped it up with a rainy, but fun trick or treat.  Whew! ;)

Love this time of year and all the sweet memories made with my family!
October is definitely one of my favorite months!

Sawyer's first baseball season

Sawyer had a great first season of baseball.  I'm so proud of how he played and how much effort he gave every single game.  He has really grown to love this sport over the last couple of months.  So much so that some games brought him to tears - not about winning or losing but because he wanted another turn to bat or didn't get a especially great hit.  He grew and learned so much, about the game and about being a part of a team.  He definitely has a natural athletic ability and his performance showed that.  He played first base and got countless outs.  He was constantly running all over the field tagging people out.  He had 1 strike out (his very first at bat) and got a hit every other time he batted -- including 2 home runs.  But we really tried to teach him all season that what matters most is trying his best, being a good teammate and leader and having fun!
I'm hoping we have lots and lots of baseball seasons in our future!
And brother and sister were such little troopers.  They hung in there all season, being at the field several nights a week.  Luckily, we have lots of helpful grandparents that really pitched in holding/walking sister around and watching Graham at the ballpark playground so I could actually watch Sawyer play.

It was an extra special season with Daddy and Popsy coaching!!
