end of basketball season

Our last basketball game was this past Saturday morning.  It was our first time to play basketball and we all really enjoyed it.  Upward is such a great league and Christ centered which is so refreshing in youth sports.  Sawyer loved it and we all loved watching him play.  BUT it will be nice to not have to be at the gym every Saturday morning at 8am. ;)

Here are some pictures from the last game.

Miller Kate || 19 months

Miller Kate,

You are 19 months old and such a ray of sunshine!  You are starting to get super independent and a touch of an attitude.  Ha.  You know what you want and have no problem letting us know if you aren't happy.  But we are all crazy about you and basically will do anything to make you happy!

You started school last week because Mommy started back to work.  You have done so awesome adjusting!!  It took you a couple of days to start napping at school but now you are rocking almost 2.5 hour naps at school on a nap mat!!  And eating good and playing with your friends and really thriving.  We are so, so happy about this!  But you are most happy to get home in the afternoons and back in Mommy's arms, which is your very favorite place to be!!

You are still a great sleeper!  You go to bed around 7pm and sleep until about 6:30am.  You take 1 nap a day, usually between 2-3 hours.  You are not a picky eater and eat pretty much anything.  Some of your favorites include fruit, cinnamon rolls, eggs, pizza, cheese, yogurt, and mac n cheese.  You weigh around 23 lbs and around 29 inches tall.  You are wearing some 18 month clothes still and some 24 month/2T.  You are wearing size 5 diapers and size 4 shoes.  You have 12 teeth including your molars which you cut about a month ago.  They gave you fits for a couple of days!  You are starting to say more and more words and can understand pretty much anything we say to you.

You LOVE to sing songs and dance.  It's the cutest thing ever!!  Your two favorites are Itsy Bitsy Spider and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  You say again every time we finish.  You love to be outside.  You love to slide and swing on the play set.  You love to read books and turn the pages yourself.  You love to buckle things like your high chair and car seat.  You love to play in the car.  You are also quite the climber and can pretty much make your way up onto anything you want.  We really have to watch you!  You love your brothers and Cooper, you are always trying to give Cooper hugs.  You are super affectionate and always give us lots of hugs and kisses.  You give the sweetest, tightest hugs!

We are absolutely crazy about you!  We cannot thank God enough you!  We love you more than you will ever, ever know!

Here are some pictures of you at 19 months:

baseball first swing tournament

Our baseball league opens with a tournament every spring and it was this past weekend.  Our boys did great!  They lost their first game but fought their way back all the way to the championship where they came in 2nd.  It was such a fun and busy weekend full of baseball.  Sawyer did awesome and loved it.  We are looking forward to a really fun spring season!  And Graham and MK are such troopers.  They hung in there for all the games for 4 days!

Go Yankees!

Happy 6th birthday, Sawyer!

We woke Sawyer up with breakfast in bed and a rendition of Happy Birthday.  He was pretty happy to be turning 6.  And Graham was sporting some awesome bed head!

I told him he could play hooky from school and we could do something fun but he wanted to go.  They make it a pretty big deal at school and let you wear a crown all day so he didn't want to miss that.  So we headed up to have lunch with him at school.

He picked Mexican for dinner, his favorite.  Then we came home and celebrated with cupcakes and presents.

Having siblings is the best.  You never get to blow out your candles or open your gifts alone. ;)

Happy 6th birthday to our boy!  You are everything we ever hoped for in a son!
